Middle East Electricity, now in its 34th year, is rated by visitors and exhibitors as the leading energy event of its kind anywhere in the world.
The massive growth, both current and anticipated, of Middle Eastern economies and population levels has led to acute shortages of power and water. Governments across the region are implementing immediate investment programmes to guarantee further national and regional development.
With a view to sourcing alternative solutions to the energy crisis, the UAE government has announced that it will develop a peaceful nuclear power capability in partnership with the governments and companies of responsible nations. Coupled with the ongoing assessment across the Gulf region of other sources of sustainable energy, including wind and solar power, Middle East Electricity 2009 provides the platform to showcase products and services to the region's key decision makers.
Space at the Middle East Electricity exhibition held in February this year sold out well in advance of the show. To book exhibition space at Middle East Electricity 2009, or for further information, click here

Exhibitor Testimonials from Middle East Electricity 2008

Middle East Electricity Exhibition provides a vibrant forum for us to share an opportunity to exchange industry insights with some of the best in the business. The market perspectives we gained will surely help us to hone our expertise in this space. Ducab’s participation in MEEE-08 has been a successful endeavor to meet and interact with all industry professionals. It was the ideal platform to be able to interact with professionals from the industry both from clients and competition side while also helped us gather primary industry trends, facts and figures. And most importantly, it enabled us to showcase our range of products & services to the relevant audience. Sincere thanks to Middle East Electricity Exhibition organisers. It was a very successful event for us - we are still busy with follow-ups. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the organising team for all their assistance. Andrew Shaw, Managing Director, Ducab
I have been very pleased with the quality of the visitors to our stand, which ranked amongst the best I have ever seen in water industry exhibitions. Christian Wee, Global Business Development Director, Aqualyng
This is our fourth year at Middle East Electricity – this year’s exhibition has been perfect. The market and this show continue to grow in importance, and there were lots of new countries represented this year. All of the world is coming here – I’ve had so many visitors that I have run out of business cards, and we have taken many leads and contacts. The show has been very successful for us – even better than last year. Khalid Al Khamis, General Manager, KSS Sana
Middle East Electricity has been marvellous this year. We’re leaving the show with literally hundreds of quality leads. We had a great stand location and have had a very successful participation. We invited our previous contacts to see us at the show, but 70% of contacts we made at the show were new ones. We met visitors from a large number of foreign countries, including a number of African countries, Syria, Libya, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt and Kazakhstan. We’ll be back again next year with a larger stand. Ulrich Scheller, General Manager, Merkur Ueberseehandel GMBH, Germany/UAE
This is our third year at the show, and it gets better and better every year. This year the response, visitor attendance and show organisation have been the best ever, and we have received leads that are likely to lead to the sale of several thousand transformers, plus a number of firm orders that were confirmed at the show. We have received so many enquiries that we now plan to open an office in the UAE in the next few months. We’re also expanding our business in the region, and based on business potential and the success we have experienced at Middle East Electricity, we are starting a joint venture in with Venture Gulf . Dhruva Talwalkar, Managing Director, Universal Transformers,
Middle East Electricity attracts a very good clientele, and we have received over 700 quality enquiries from visitors from the Gulf region, and , who have taken product information. This is our second time at the show, and we once again expect firm orders to result from the leads gained at the show this year. We have already confirmed our participation at the new Middle East Electricity event - Power Generation and Water Middle East - in Abu Dhabi later this year. Eldar Z, Executive Director, IMEX, Germany/Russia/UAE
This is the first time that the Czech Republic has had an official country pavilion at Middle East Electricity. There are 14 companies on the pavilion plus the Czech Trade and Ministry of Trade and Industry who are main supporters of our country’s participation here. For many, this is their first step into the Middle East market, and they have all found Middle East Electricity to be a very positive experience. All of the companies here are very satisfied with their participation, and the vast majority will return again. Stanislav Musil, Project Manager and Czech Republic Pavilion Organiser, Messag Time a.s.
The Show has been extremely busy, and we’ve been really busy right throughout the show. Middle East Electricity is strategically important for Perkins, both in terms of being here and supporting our OEM’s. We have experienced high levels of demand and have generated orders during the show both from the telecoms industry and for high powered standby applications. It’s been a very buoyant show, and has been even busier than last year. We’re already looking at further increasing the size of our stand for next year. Michael Rosser, Perkins Engines,
This is our fourth time at Middle East Electricity. The show always offers us a great opportunity to show our range of products to visitors from the region and indeed, the world. The results of our participation are always positive, and we always leave the show with a minimum of two new customers and, in line with the number of international visitors we meet here, are not necessarily from the region. This year we came to look for new business and give support to our existing customers - many prefer to come and meet us here at Middle East Electricity in Dubai rather than having to travel to Portugal. Nestor Turro, Export Manager, Efapel SA,
We manufacture lighting control systems, and are currently working on energy efficiency for the Dubai Mall project. We currently have two regional distributors and came to the show this year to further build our presence in the market. We’ve had a fantastic response – we weren’t sure what to expect, so we only took a small stand but the quality of response has far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely take a bigger stand next year. Gary Brown, International Sales Manager, UK Division, Helvar Ltd.
“MEE has been quite exciting for us this year in terms of visits of potential buyers to our stall and enquiries received for our entire Water & Waste Water Treatment product range. We are happy to see that Dubai is focusing more on recycling of waste water in which we can contribute much as Technology & Equipment supplier for recycling systems” Suneeth Nair, Country Manager (UAE), Ion Exchange Ltd.
