Society of Engineers

In this workshop, you will learn the requirements necessary for smart grids to provide and sustain energy in a ‘smart’ city.

In the coming decades smart grids will enable a higher penetration of renewable energy, facilitate large-scale adoption of electrical vehicles and significantly raise end-user awareness and involvement in the energy management of their cities, altogether contributing to the evolution of a sustainable urban future.

The transformation involved in reaching this goal will naturally bring about a number of challenges for society, as urban populations continue to increase and a predicted 70% of all people move into cities by 2050.

Who should attend:

Engineers, urban planners, strategic energy planners, and smart city planners.
